Our most exciting prospect is now focused on our recent embarkment in acquiring 87 acres of land in Ukay Heights, Selangor, which is one of the few remaining large tracts of freehold land in the Klang Valley. This Ampang Ukay township development is expected to drive our growth over the next 10 years with an estimated gross development value of over RM3 billion.
EcoFirst’s portfolio of property investment is held by Pujian Development Sdn Bhd and Tashima Development Sdn Bhd. Through our property investments, we aim to generate a steady stream of recurring income from leases and rent, in order to provide improved shareholder value.
Properties we invest in
EcoFirst’s property management division is represented primarily by Budaya Fokus Sdn Bhd and Tashima Development Sdn Bhd.
Core operations include regulating and managing leasing activities and tenant mix, taking into account the effective use of space, environment suitability and conducive infrastructure.
This division currently manages both our retail complexes; South City Plaza in Sri Kembangan, which has a total lettable area of 800,000 square feet as well as 1Segamat mall which is only integrated modern lifestyle mall in Johor.
Properties we manage
EcoFirst aims to be the world’s largest organic gaharu producer. Together with our joint venture partners, a 1,000-acre plantation land in Desaru, Johor will enable the production and development of organic gaharu produce.
Organic Agarwood Cultivation
Through our subsidiary, J-Biotech EcoFirst Agro Sdn Bhd, EcoFirst has established a 15-acre pilot project for organic agarwood cultivation, in 2013.Targeted to commence full operations in 2016, the plantation is a joint development with a Johor state agency.
Agarwood, or also known as Oud, is a resinous, fragrant heartwood of the Aquilaria genus. Reputed to be the most expensive wood in the world, it is a treasured natural material especially among Asia’s Chinese, Arabic, Indian and Japanese communities.
